Star Wars - Mark Hamill discute Luke Skywalker in the Sequel Trilogy

Os fâs de Star Wars receberam com surpresa o anuncio da continuação da saga, mas George Lucas já tinha pensado em fazer uma nova triologia de Star Wars, há muito muito tempo atrás. A prova disso é que neste video de 1983, vemos Mark Hamill a falar sobre a possibilidade de voltar a fazer de Luke Skywalker na nova triologia, e que o previsto por Lucas era por volta de 2011, apenas quatro anos antes do novo filme estrear.
Na entrevista Mark Hamill diz:

He said: "I'm so loyal to George and I owe him so much. He, at one time, said 'Would you consider playing an Obi-Wan-type character handing Excalibur down to the next generation?'

"I said, 'When would that be?' And at the time he said, 'Oh, around 2011.' I thought, gee, as much as I'd like to have a job lined up at the turn of the century I was figuring out how old I'd be at that point and I thought...well, I don't know."
